| 5th & 12th Jan (2 days course) | Basic Conversational Malay for Healthcare

COURSE DESCRIPTION

Aiming to give first-time learners the basics in Malay language, this module will also incorporate general aspects of the Malay culture and its relation to the language. Main emphasis will be given to conversation and vocabulary building. Learners can also expect to learn simple Malay grammar, Malay phonetics, pronunciation and articulation., and to understand useful things to pay attention to.

LEARNING OUTCOMES

  •  To understand the fundamentals of spoken Malay.
  • Achieve a better understanding of patients’ concerns and needs.
  • Able to answer inquiries in simple spoken Malay.
  • To use correct pronunciation and intonation.
  • To converse in simple Malay with patients and their family members.
  • To be able to express themselves in simple Malay.

Ms Sharifah Narimah
Sharifah Narimah is currently a Full-time Trainer/an associate lecturer with MDIS in conducting Basic Malay Conversational Course for Healthcare group & Hospitals with 14 years of teaching experience. She is an enthusiastic and dedicated trainer who is able to introduce students confidently to Malay Language speaking environments, customs, cultures and traditions. Sharifah posses good planning and organizing skills with strong interpersonal and communications skills.
